Payout Hopes Fading - Faster than an F1 Car!

This is an update on the current status of the two bets I placed, before the start of the Formula 1 season.

Bet 1 - Jenson Button to win 5 races this season

Bet 2 - McLaren to win the constructors championship.

I can safely say that the first bet is now over - since there are only 2 races left, and Jenson needs to win another three.  It would be ironic if he wins them; but then that will go towards my second bet.

McLaren are currently lying are in second place, 27 points behind Red Bull.  With 50 points available, and based on the Red Bulls not finishing this weekend, then there is a good possibility of this bet paying out!!  Although the race in South Korea was a washout, quite literally, both the McLaren drivers did the best they could - although Jenson made a slight tactical error, when changing his tyres too soon!

With the race at Interlagos, Brazil in a couple of weeks, followed by the season closer at Abu Dhabi; whatever the outcome, it's been a fascinating and exciting season, with the usual drama that we expect from Formula 1.

I must be crazy...

I've just decided to place a bet on the final of the Tri-Nations cricket.

Australia v England - and I bet that England will win!!

The odds? 17/5!!
I bet £7.19 (which is the balance in my William Hill account).
If they win, I collect about £31. Break open the bubbly!!!

Following my blog this morning about the weather - I think we're in for a cold one for the rest of the week - and apparently, it's going to snow again on Thursday (fingers crossed).
I've checked, and it's not snowing now, but my car is iced over - which means an earlier start as I'll have to scrape it all away.

Anyway. I've got a massive headache. So I'm off to bed.
